Richard Harrington MP is supporting National Apprenticeship Week 2019 (NAW2019) by highlighting the benefits of apprenticeships to employers and communities, in a week-long celebration of apprenticeships.
National Apprenticeship Week runs from 4 to 8 March 2019, and a range of activities and events are being hosted across Watford, aimed at challenging the outdated views some people still have about apprenticeships.
Richard Harrington MP said: “Since 2010, I have been championing apprenticeships and am delighted that over 5000 people have taken up the opportunity in Watford.
Today I visited Twin Technology on Station Road and met with Ryan, their newest IT apprentice who is earning and learning.
I hope that many more local employers will take the first step and find out how they can benefit from an apprentice.”
The week also highlights the huge number of high-quality apprenticeship opportunities available at all levels around the country, in a huge variety of sectors, including nuclear, engineering, nursing, IT, finance and policing.
