Watford Jobs Fair 2017

Building a strong local economy is key to creating jobs. I first worked at Trewins department store in 1979 and know how far Watford has come. Since then, I have run businesses and charities.

As Watford’s MP, I have used my experience to successfully campaign for investment in infrastructure and to help businesses move to our town and create jobs. Over the last six years companies including Warner Bros, Morrisons, Wickes and Europcar have moved to Watford.

I really believe that my annual Watford Jobs Fair has helped hundreds of people find work or apprenticeships. Unemployment has halved in Watford, and its at the lowest level it's been in a decade!

The next one will be held later this year (date to be announced shortly) at the Langley Banqueting Suites, Watford, between 10am-4pm.

The Watford Jobs Fair is a day-long event linking local companies with vacancies to those looking for a new job. With thanks to sponsors Camelot and intu Watford the fair is completely free for those looking for a job and exhibiting companies.

Please visit www.watfordjobsfair.co.uk to register your interest in exhibiting. Once the date is announced, you can also visit the website to get your ticket for fast-track free entry! The website will be updated as new firms confirm their attendance.

Speaking about the news, Richard said: “I believe the fairs are a success because they work in the way they are supposed to – they help people secure jobs. They are open to all, with managerial, full-time and technical jobs on offer, along with casual work for students, part-time roles for mums, first jobs and opportunities to change career. “

I went to Richard’s fantastic Jobs Fair in June and spoke to BrightHouse and booked an interview! I now work at their Head Office in Watford.” - Mwila Mulenga
